Medical Qi Gong

Qi Gong is one of the three branches of Chinese Medicine, the others being Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine. Qi Gong is movement with intention based around breathing. Simple and accessible by nature, one example of Qi Gong would be standing and breathing. A Qi Gong practice is made up of postures and exercises, one commonly known form is Tai Chi. This is an important part of Chinese Medicine and is frequently used in combination with Acupuncture. Qi Gong is most commonly prescribed for depression, apathy, digestive issues, weight loss, muscular tension and joint pain.

Katy began studying Qi Gong over 12 years ago while she was studying Kung Fu. She will teach and prescribe certain Qi Gong postures for specific ailments and diseases, which help each individual patient reach their specific health goals. Clients practice both in office and at home, building on the practice and adding exercises as time goes on.
